Kids' Chess Tournament

Intro to Modern Calligraphy

Explore and practice the tools and proper techniques of modern pointed pen calligraphy with Angi Phillips – graphic designer, calligrapher and owner of Angelique, Ink. In this beginner class, you will learn how to properly hold an oblique calligraphy pen, gain an understanding of pen strokes and creating letterforms, controlling the pen, and connecting letters. You will also get an introduction to composition and styling, and personal instruction and feedback from Angi, so you can walk away with all the tools you need for developing your skill and style.

Mary Desmond

The vibrant and talented, Mary Desmond is a member of the band Fusion Beat – winners of the OC People’s Choice for Best Youth Band. She appeared in the final season of American Idol and has released more than 70 videos, including original songs and covers, on her own on YouTube channel. Since the young age of three when she joined a music group and landed her first solo, Mary has been in love with theatre, acting and performing in any respect.

Troy Ritchie

Troy Ritchie appeared on Season 7 of The Voice, where he was a member of Team Gwen. He’s been the lead singer and guitarist in the band, Sleep State, ever since. A born entertainer, Troy can do countless impressions and walk on his hands. He used to be terrified of singing at a young age, but always wrote songs and practiced playing guitar in his room. When a friend secretly signed him up for their high school talent show, Troy reluctantly performed and was surprised when he received a standing ovation.

Robbie Dean

Ava August

Local, singer-songwriter Ava August began writing music at the young age of nine. Playing both the ukulele and keyboard, she performs original songs and covers from haunting ballads to soulful tunes. Ava is signed with an independent record label named TRIZM and releasing an EP in the spring.

Ava Domini

Ava Domini is an Orange County singer-songwriter with a smooth acoustic vibe. Her tunes are catchy and unique with a “pop, but soulful” country and R&B sound – the kind of music that has you wanting to sing along. Very active in the local music community, Ava plays live at various popular Los Angeles and Orange County venues. This up-and-coming artist is set to release new work with Grammy-nominated producer, Alex Cantrall, later this year.

Gianna Chavez

Guitarist and aspiring singer/songwriter Gianna Chavez performs today’s pop hits. She was recently featured in a reality YouTube series “My Dream Quinceanera” on AwesomenessTV and performs live around South Orange County. Gianna also hones her talents in dance and acting for her next musical theatre performance and participates in the Chambers Choir at her high school.

Johnny Martin

Singer-songwriter, Johnny Martin is the newest addition to OSC’s lineup of entertainers. Johnny left his hometown of Chicago, Illinois to pursue his dreams in Los Angeles and appeared on Season 7 of The Voice. He plays all instruments, but his favorites are guitar and piano with more than 20 years of experience. Johnny plays mainstream pop, R&B with blue-eyed soul influences, as well as oldies and classic hits.

Gabby Leigh

Gabby Leigh is a 15-year old singer/songwriter/musician who has been honing her skills playing SoCal music venues, such as the House Of Blues Hollywood and New Orleans, Surf City Nights, The Lab, the Anaheim Packing District and COA’s The Venue since she was 12-years old. Playing the piano, she entertains with a combination of covers and originals with a pop/R&B vibe. She loves to entertain and relate to people and their experiences with her music and will be putting out her first EP in early 2018.
